Monday: Self-directed study of Patrick Henry's "Speech to the Virginia Convention" and Benjamin Franklin's "Speech to the Convention" - Research brief histories of each speaker, define restatement, repetition, parallelism, rhetorical question, and allusion, then answer questions in the textbook (see below).

Questions: (Sorry - they keep uploading sideways.)

Tuesday: Finish notes introducing The Crucible, complete Salem Dilemma activity, and analyze rhetoric in "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God"

Wednesday: White board analysis of ethos, pathos, and logos in commercials; assign acting roles and begin reading The Crucible

Thursday: Which witch is which? activity and confession journal; continue reading The Crucible

Friday: Read the remainder of Act I and watch Act I from The Crucible
