Week 14 - Crucible, Rhetoric, & False Accusations

Monday: Because we finished reading Act I of The Crucible last Friday, we began class by watching Act I. We then analyzed the rhetoric used by various characters and the themes presented in the action of the plot. Because time is short, we then skipped the reading of Act II (boo :/) and watched it instead.
Tuesday: After we finished watching Act II, we did more rhetoric and theme analysis and discussed the following video's relevance to Wednesday and Thursday's research, then read about half of Act III.
Wednesday: Research day! We will complete this graphic organizer in order to prepare for Friday's in-class syntesis essay.
Thursday: Research day! Finish up!
Friday: Synthesize your exonerated client's situation with the themes relevant to The Crucible. Afterward, we will finish reading Act III and watch the film version.
