Our goal this week is to build our community to prepare for our American Literature odyssey, which will begin with Into the Wild by Jack Krakauer. Unlike Alexander Supertramp, we will enter the American wilds prepared and ready to work together as we explore American values in the literature that helped to shape who we are.

Our units this semester:

All Men Created Equal (Into the Wild & The Call of Freedom)

Pursuit of Happiness (The Great Gatsby & American Disillusionment)

Ideal Citizen (The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail & American Rebellion)

America in Crisis (The Secret Life of Bees, Nickel and Dimed, Of Mice & Men, Working in the Shadows, 102 Minutes that Changed America & American Heroism)

This week, we will:

Solve some mysteries.

Interview one another, and write each other's stories.

Introduce one another to the class.

Prepare to journey Into the Wild.

USE THIS LLINK TO POST YOUR MYSTERY SOLUTIONS: http://bit.ly/1OKORcp

~ Make sure you do not post your answers over someone else's. Find an empty box in the column labeled "Murder Mystery" or "Bank Robbery", depending on which one you chose to solve.
