So, we're back. The countdown to Senior Year is getting short - Are you ready? Your grade matters, for sure. But what about the bigger picture? What can we really take from this class and apply to our lives beyond reading and writing skill? Hopefully, that social consciousness we've been talking about is beginning to take root in your minds. This week, we'll explore an issue that one group of lawyers believes remains problematic in America and figure out what we think about it, then persuade others to think as we do by using EVIDENCE, instead of simple-minded Youtuber insult-hurling.
Monday: We will complete our persuasive letters (on-level) and synthesis essays (honors).
Tuesday through Friday: We will continue readers' theater and analysis of rhetoric used in The Crucible. We will also spend time analyzing directorial choice, comparing and contrasting the film version with the play as it is written.
